This 600 year old building had to be completely renovated and renewed. The basic structured and division had to be preserved. Hans Ritschard succeeded to highlight the qualities of the building and still creating a contemporary feeling.

 

The original facade has been left untouched and gently renovated. inside, the old wooden parts were uncovered and integrated into the design.

 

A major challenge was to integrate the modern building technology into the existing wooden construction.
