The “MSA” in Adliswil is a historic building ensemble. Starting to develop in the early 19th century, it became one of the largest building complexes of the Swiss textile industry. Its expansion and activity ended with the economical crises in the 1930´s.

Hit by a fire an essential part of its historic buildings got destroyed.

The vacancy needed to be filled with a new construction for production including an automatic high-bay storage, as well as various office and commercial spaces. The solid concrete structure is enclosed by a traditional brick facade. Hans Ritschard succeeded in designing a building with its own individual expression, which nevertheless continous to tell the story of the historical site.
